Medicoselskab eksporterer til 40 lande

BioCare Copenhagen har specialiseret sig i mikrobielle organismer, og selskabets produkter er blandt andet baseret på forskning fra Rigshospitalet. Allerede 3½ år efter investeringen i selskabet ønskede iværksætterne at købe Borean ud. Selskabet havde på denne korte tid opnået en omsætning på over 30 millioner kroner om året.

Grøn batteriteknologi klar til markedet

Teknologivirksomheden VisBlue ApS, der er en udspringer af Aarhus Universitet, har på 3 år rejst 15 mio. kroner i kapital og fondsmidler, som har været medvirkende til, at VisBlue nu står foran et endeligt gennembrud på markedet.

Ny måleteknik sikrer præcis behandling

Medikovirksomheden CathVision ApS har siden investeringen fra Borean Innovation i 2014 rejst over 20 mio dkk i kapital og fondsmidler, og pengene skal gå til at få selskabets unikke hjertemålesystem ud på det europæiske marked for at forbedre operative behandlinger af hjerterytmeforstyrrelser.

Tidlig investering i intelligente vandmålere

Miitors udvikler teknologi til intelligente fjernaflæste vandmålere baseret på patenteret teknologi indenfor blandt andet ultralyd og radioteknologi. I marts 2015 blev selskabet solgt til polske Apator Powogaz S.A. for 53 millioner kroner.

The idea is so obvious that you would think the product already existed on the welfare technology market. The fact is, however, that the creative minds at Als-based Manuxa launched a patented world sensation in 2014.

A commercial adventure in space

In nine years, space tech company Gomspace has grown from small start-up to exporting satellites to more than 40 countries. After going public, they now have their sights on disrupting the mainstream satellite business. Borean Innovation helped the company get off the ground.

Since the decision to phase out the Innovation Incubators, SIU has worked on a specific model to handle all the portfolio companies, which are currently held by the Innovation Incubators. In April 2019, SIU released an EU tender, in which interested entrants could bid for the task as Manager of the State's investments during the period 2020-22 with the aim of divesting the companies during the same timeframe.

During May 2019, Borean Innovation A/S was selected as one of the future Exit Operators, thus contributing to settling loans and ownership interests in Borean’s current approx. 60 portfolio companies. In parallel, Borean Innovation A/S continues to develop the existing portfolios and, not least, assisting the companies in the process of attracting external capital.

BioCare Copenhagen

BioCare Copenhagen is a bio-venture company specializing in nutritional supplements that contain microbial components aimed at gastro-intestinal problems, infections and improvement of the immune system.

Borean Innovation's shares were purchased by founders Søren Thomsen og Jesper Gantzel in August 2015.

Thor has his own experience as CEO of a venture-financed company. Moreover, Thor has extensive experience working with general management, commercial law, venture investments and M&A, both within the industrial sector and the venture capital industry.
